Born in Ibaraki Prefecture in 1972. After graduating from culinary school (École Culinaire Kunitachi), he joined Hotel Edmont (now Hotel Metropolitan Edmont) in 1992.
In the banquet kitchen (Western cuisine), he studied under Katsuhiro Nakamura, the first Japanese chef to earn a Michelin star, gaining experience across all departments, from ingredient procurement to the final finishing of dishes.
In 2007, he was appointed Sous Chef at "Dining & Bar TENQOO" in Hotel Metropolitan Marunouchi, where he further honed his skills under the guidance of then-Head Chef Hitoshi Iwasaki.
In July 2016, he became the Head Chef of "Dining & Bar TENQOO". In April 2023, he assumed the role of the 3rd Executive Chef for "TRAIN SUITE Shiki-shima." From November 2025, he has been appointed Head Chef of "FOURGRAINS" at Hotel Metropolitan Edmont.
