Notice and Apology Regarding the Recent Fire Incident

Thank you very much for your continued patronage of Hotel Metropolitan Edmont Tokyo.

At approximately 6:21 a.m. on Monday, March 9, 2026, a power bank brought in by a guest ignited within the hotel premises.
This caused the automatic fire alarm system and emergency broadcast to activate.

While our staff responded immediately and successfully extinguished the fire, the incident resulted in prolonged alarm sounds and the temporary suspension of elevator service until the fire department confirmed the safety of the building. We sincerely apologize for the significant anxiety and inconvenience this caused to our staying guests, as well as for any concern caused to our neighbors in the local community.

We would also like to confirm that no guests or staff members were injured in this incident.

At this time, the safety of the site has been fully verified, and all hotel facilities are operating as usual.
